Why Padel Haus put Volley on the checklist for every new club.

A luxury padel brand is built on the member experience. Every amenity has to deliver on the brand's promise, and the bar gets higher with every new club that opens. That's the bar Padel Haus is setting for itself. The Brooklyn-born brand has a clear mission. “We're really trying to set the standard, and then continue to elevate the standard, of what a padel club should be,” says Josh Ulino, Chief Growth Officer.

And the growth backs up the ambition. In eighteen months, Padel Haus has opened four new clubs, bringing the total to six. Three are in Brooklyn, with one each in Atlanta, Nashville, and Denver. A seventh is under construction in Dallas.

At that pace, member perks that don't fit the experience get exposed quickly. Padel Haus had tried offering members access to a ball machine before Volley. It didn't hold up. “It was just a box…throwing balls out of it,” Ulino recalls. When the founder brought in the first Volley trainer, the contrast was immediate. “It's the premium option,” Ulino says. “It's very easy to use, very seamless.”

Volley is not a ball machine. The look, feel, and capabilities put it in a category of its own, and that fit the brand Padel Haus was building.

“Volley makes a difference if you're comparing a club that has it versus a club that doesn't.”— Josh Ulino, Chief Growth Officer

Today, Volley is part of every Padel Haus club. It's included free for members, offered as a paid session for non-members, and named on every membership sheet.

“If I had one person who wanted to use the court without Volley, that wouldn't be possible. With Volley, it is.”— Josh Ulino

The math behind padel makes the value obvious. “Padel is a sport that requires four people, but you can't always find four people,” Ulino says. “Sometimes I just want to play for 30 minutes, and Volley makes that possible instead of needing to find three other people to hit with.” The experience holds up across skill levels. “It's a very easy experience for an intermediate player,” Ulino says. “You've got a training partner that's going to do it properly every time, so you can focus on your practice.”

“Our members view Volley as a really nice amenity. They get to use it to continue to improve their game.”— Josh Ulino

A growing brand needs partners that grow with it. As Padel Haus has opened in new cities, Volley has stayed a trusted partner. “When we find a partner we trust, we want to keep working with them,” Ulino says. “I'm in the business of working with trusted people and building relationships.” That consistency carries through every opening. A member who joins in Brooklyn finds the same Volley experience in Atlanta, Nashville, or Denver. “I appreciated the flexibility to grow with us,” Ulino says. “We're growing together.”

“I know that if there's ever a problem, it's going to get fixed pretty immediately. And when new technology comes out, the Volley team is going to let us know and we're going to be able to implement it.”— Josh Ulino

Every new Padel Haus build comes with a checklist of everything that has to be in place before opening day.

“Our checklist doesn't say ball machine. It says Volley.”— Josh Ulino
